流線 / Current (18 × 18 × 2 cm / 7 × 7 × 0.75 inches)

We exist within invisible flows. Each encounter and event brings its own speed and direction—intersecting, diverging, and at times lingering like a quiet eddy. There are moments when we cannot keep pace, and we pause.Yet, the point of now is always here, and these points gradually form a single line. This work can be seen as a fragment of that unseen line.

A Work That Changes Over Time: The artist is a painter, and Urushi is used not as a traditional craft material, but specifically as a painting medium.Created with natural materials—Urushi—this work transforms its expression over time. Urushi increases in saturation when exposed to ultraviolet light, but this change varies depending on the environment and conditions. It cannot be predicted with certainty. This unpredictability is precisely the charm of a unique work made with natural materials. We hope you will embrace and enjoy these changes over time, experiencing the work as a companion through the years.
